Music in Healing Client Testimonials
What people
are saying about Bill Connet as a lecturer and musician.
I wanted to share our sincere thanks for your wonderful program that you shared
at our Stroke Information Network community support group on January
17th. We had a record number of participants, due to the advance P.R. of your
participation, and each person who attended made a point of emphasizing how
much they enjoyed your music, your insight into the healing process, and the
skill with which you wove your music, stories, and message together. Each
person left feeling a sense of renewal.
I also know
that our staff who attended your session, including members of our chaplaincy
staff, social workers, and student interns from several disciplines, were
also impressed with your application of music to heal mind, body, and spirit.
Again, it was privilege to have you join us!

I have had the privilege to work with Bill in several settings, and have found that he has a marvelous approach to working with caregivers as well as people with Alzheimer disease and other dementias.
Bill has worked with us to present several workshops in Newton including, an Adult Day Care Center, a program for the general public, and one for residents of an assisted living center, where he sang with them one on one. Time and time again, we witnessed the healing power of music as each person became engaged through his music. In addition, Bill has conducted a workshop for a Caregivers Support Group in Boone, Iowa.
Bills presentation is so well received that he is scheduled for several more workshops for us including; a public education workshop at the Marshalltown Senior Center, the Grinnell Regional Medical Center and as a presenter at a health University seminar at the Lucas County Hospital.

I cant think of anyone more qualified to bring music, with its healing and spiritual elements, to these venerable groups in a way that is both beautiful and accessible, than Bill Connet. I have known Bill since our freshman year at college, and I first heard his music over thirty years ago. Bill manages to be truly spiritual without being in the least sanctimonious or pious; his college friends, of all denominations and backgrounds even the agnostics have recognized, respected and admired that spirituality for decades.
